What an amazing morning we had at the Ashford International Hotel recording our Christmas song, Welcome Home! There was such a buzz in the room as we found a festive gear with trees and jumpers, while singing our brand new release to help raise awareness of the cause of fostering and adoption.
We are thrilled to be combining forces with the Diagrama Foundation to promote such a worthy cause. Click on their link to find out more.
The song speaks of a child who hears what other children say about Christmas, but it doesn’t tie up with their lived experience – ‘Santa won’t be coming Christmas night’. The child lays in the dark and prays that there would be someone out there to invite them to belong.
As the song moves on, so we see the child again, this time as part of a family. They end up saying, ‘Thank you for this family where I belong’. It’s a tear-jerker and rightly so – every child should have a home and that place of belonging.
The song is released at the end of the month and will be able to be streamed and will be accompanied by a video on social media. You are NOT going to want to miss it!
